Italian coach impresses Leicester City with Manchester City title success
Leicester City have appointed former Manchester City assistant coach Enzo Maresca as their new manager. The Italian has signed a deal to take over at the King Power Stadium, replacing Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked last week following a poor run of form.
Maresca, 42, has been working as an assistant coach at Manchester City since 2019, helping the club to win three Premier League titles, two Carabao Cups, and the FA Cup.
He has also been capped 10 times by Italy, and has played for a number of top clubs in Europe, including Juventus, Fiorentina, and Palermo.
Maresca is a highly-rated coach, and his appointment is a major coup for Leicester City. He is expected to bring a new style of play to the club, and will be hoping to challenge for a top-four place in the Premier League next season.
