Early Life and Playing Career

Born on February 10, 1980, in Pontecagnano Faiano, Italy, Enzo Maresca embarked on a successful playing career. As a midfielder, he played for numerous clubs, including Juventus, Fiorentina, and Sevilla. Maresca represented Italy at the international level, earning 15 caps between 2002 and 2009.

Coaching Career

Upon retiring from playing in 2017, Maresca transitioned into coaching. He began his coaching journey with Manchester City's youth teams. In 2020, he was appointed as Leicester City's assistant manager under Brendan Rodgers. Maresca made a significant impact at the Premier League club, helping them win the FA Cup in 2021.

In 2023, Maresca made a return to Manchester City, joining Pep Guardiola's first team coaching staff. His expertise and previous experience with the club are expected to contribute to City's continued success.
